GGCkids
POWERkids is our Kids Church program for primary school children. We have a kids service format which includes games, worship, memorizing the bible, and relevant Bible messages using object lessons to illustrate. We are using the Kids in Ministry International Curriculm (http://www.kidsinministry.com/) The learning is very interactive! We work towards the goal of activating the children in their faith at whatever level they’re up to. Topics include “Our Amazing God”, “Hearing the Voice of God”, “Jesus our Healer”, “Evangelism, & “The Blood of Jesus”.

Alexander:
“Its cool when we go for walks. And when we play games, have camps and Kids Club.”
HEALING TESTIMONY: “I was playing footy on a Saturday. And I went to tap an adult and he put the ball down and rolled. And then he rolled into my knee. He went too far back. In a scale of 1 to 10 it was probably 10 out of 10 painful. The I had to stop playing. We went home. The next day I went to church I couldn’t walk & the kids there prayed for healing. And it got from 10 out of 10 to 7 out of 10. They prayed again it went from 7 out of 10 to 5 out of 10. For the first time I could walk on it! Within a few days it was healed.”
Sofia: “Helps me come closer to God. Its fun having more friends. And meeting preachers. We love Becky Fischer! She’s taking us on a camp called Transformers.”
DOOR TO DOOR: “One week we knocked on doors from the street. We found a lady whose niece, her name was Olivia, had a hole in her heart when she was born. We asked if we could pray for her. So we did and we’re hoping to get a message back that she is well and not sick.”
Johanna: “Its fun going upstairs and playing games. Its fun worshipping God. Its fun at Kids Club. I love when we win prizes. Its fun dancing when we worship.”
Curtis: “It’s cool. I like the games and when we pray. The cool praying bits, hearing God’s voice. Healing & praying for people of the streets, and stuff.”
EVANGELISM: “One Sunday we went to the park to share the gospel. We played tips with a few kids in the park. And after we finished we gave out icy-poles and sat down beside a tree and shared with him about God and how he saved everyone. We asked him if he wanted us to pray for him. He said yes, we did. He said he would pray that night in his room. I thought it was cool that he wanted to. I wanted to do it every week!”
