Leo continues on this vital subject of how we dialogue with God. He looks at the where and what we pray. Faith is important to guide us, not our feelings. Perseverance and patience, with love as the motivator, are demonstrated in Luke 11:5. Other scriptures studied are Matt 9:37 and 1 Tim 2:4. From the beginning of mankind we see authority and dominion. The answer for us is in ‘believing prayer’, in His will.

Eddie starts with Matt 28;18 –The Great Commission- encouraging us in the ministry of reconciliation. Many are confused and lost in a society where the moral compass has been shattered. He has compassion, looks beyond the physical and sees the need for a shepherd. The supernatural is released. He teaches, feeds and satisfies. God is good. His plans for us are good. Just choose to believe the truth, not religion.

Leo addresses many questions that arise about how and where we should direct our finances. He points to both Old and New Testament principles to guide us in making healthy decisions. Tithing is examined from every angle so we can see what it really means in today’s society. What are the present day ‘barns and storehouses’ the Word talks about?

There is great treasure here to hold us steady in the storms of life.

Leo continues to encourage us to focus on the word of God as our source of treasure. The words are seeds for life. Don’t forget the mighty hand of God which delivers us from our enemies, provides for all our needs, comforts and guides.

The spies of the Israelites came back with two differing reports. Like them we can choose to see the enemy defeated or defeating us. Which will we choose?

From Nathan came a life-giving message about a life full of promise and potential-in God’s best for us-(Jer 29;11)  Nathan showed us from the picture of the nation of Israel, God’s blessed nation, what they were in God:- a holy nation, priests, treasured, blessed with abundance, a blessing to all nations – and yet they …settled….

From Psalm 34 Leo encourages us all to live victorious lives. He poses these questions:-

How do you speak? …Life and death are in the power of the tongue…

How do you feel? …Don’t elevate feelings make them come into line with your thoughts.

How do you look? …Leo uses many amazing people to say- focus on your strengths …

What is your appetite? …Taste and see that the Lord is good…

Paul comes lovingly as a brother, sharing encouragement and prophetic insight for GGC and Leo and Christine, speaking growth, favour and abundance our us. He takes us to Matt 16: 13-19. In this passage we see how the Lord changes Peter’s name from Simon as a picture for us all of how He changes our identity- building us from glory to glory. Our God is a god of break through, so use the keys He has given you.

Are we the real deal? Mark Bridgewater challenges us, as believers, do we stand up to the scrutiny of the world to represent Christ in reality. What do our friends see when they see our character? This is a confronting message: as he says, ”We are here to go for it.”

Nathan Tillett follows on from the morning’s word to stir us up to speak words of praise and life….words of faith, hope and love….encouragement. In James 3:3 and Proverbs 18:21 he shows how strategic the tongue is in God’s plan for our lives. In a passionate presentation Nathan pointed us to three areas to apply this message. Be encouraged and encourage others as only God has made you to.

Brenden calls on us to press the pause button and take some time out from thinking about incidental things to having a heart of appreciation and thankfulness. Brenden guides us through Col 3: 12-17 looking at the qualities God has for us. Thinking about many of the ministries of the church, Brenden asks us to catch a heart of gratitude which we can share with our church family.

Francois whets our appetite for the prophetic as he shares an overview introducing the theme for this week’s ministry school. The three key concepts for the training fall under the headings:- Revelation, Interpretation and Application. Looking at 1 Cor 13 ;9-12

Francois encourages us to see what the Lord has for us more fully…not just in part.

Francois has a very engaging style of teaching which draws in his audience to experience his enthusiasm and passion for knowing God and His loving and profoundly personal ways.

Francois captivates his audience as he brings alive 1 Kings 16-19 and the life of Elijah, the prophet. Relating current cultural issues, as well as very personal encounters with God, Francois illustrates relevant truth for each of us in today’s society. One moment Elijah is seeing the Lord perform extraordinary miracles and wiping out the enemies of God and then Elijah is running for his life at the words of one woman. There is a profound image for us to learn from here.

Hear God’s heart for you in this powerful message. As with the previous talk, Leo speaks of our identity as joint heirs, sons, righteous, reconciled, holy, spotless, blemish-free in Christ Jesus.

This is one of those ‘wow’ messages. We all need to be refreshed in who we are. Along the journey of life we pick up wrong mind-sets which need challenging. If this is not for you, a friend or relative needs this. Leo brings to life 2 Cor 5 :17-21with words such as righteous, true sons, believers, followers, brand new, reconciled, eternal, riches in Christ…don’t go by how you feel, trust the word of God to bring new revelation.

These are two fundamental messages about the pillars of our faith. You will be encouraged as Leo reviews the morning’s message about spending time with God: The second point is to grow in the Knowledge of who we are in Christ; having right standing with God. Obedience to God, His word and His delegated oversight is another theme of this message. Leo finishes talking about the Presence of God and worship.

With his usual enthusiastic style Leo spotlights the truth for us for today. His key focus is on spending time with God: reading the Word and let the Word ‘read’ you. Leo encourages us to know the Lord, not just in head knowledge but through the heart. We look together at Matthew 13: 18 at the parable of the sower.
