Leo continues on this vital subject of how we dialogue with God. He looks at the where and what we pray. Faith is important to guide us, not our feelings. Perseverance and patience, with love as the motivator, are demonstrated in Luke 11:5. Other scriptures studied are Matt 9:37 and 1 Tim 2:4. From the beginning of mankind we see authority and dominion. The answer for us is in ‘believing prayer’, in His will.

For those who are willing, teachable and hungry here are keys in a relationship with Our Father. We draw treasure from Luke 11, John 4;23 and Matt 5. Leo asks us to consider our attitude to prayer.
Leo launches us into the new year reassuring us of God’s desires for us: to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us a future and a hope (Jer 29:11)

Our lives are prepared for, planned for and provided for in God.

Leo looks at Desire first, then Belief (in the Word) followed up by Action.

We have 4 steps here, to test if yours is a God-birthed dream. Leo injects into the message specific examples from people’s lives. Be encouraged and inspired.

Leo opens up for us the riches in Ephesians, concerning the secret of the Gospel of the Kingdom. We are established in who we are in Christ. Jesus speaks over us to bless us (speak well over us). The great exchange is expounded for us to see that Jesus became sin so we could become righteous. We get what Christ deserved and He took what we deserved. There is great treasure here to hold us steady in the storms of life.

Don’t miss this…Leo fills in the blanks for us today. He puts together little pieces of the puzzle of the Gospel and shows us the elaborate plan of God for our destiny. There is more than we have seen before. We are walking in new fresh light each time we sit under the Word of truth. A profound overview from Genesis to now, and beyond, shows us how we can walk in the glory of God, as Adam and Eve did (before the fall), because of Jesus. Be profoundly encouraged to live in more of the abundance of our Saviour.

Leo shines words of wisdom and inspiration into the whole area of our thought life. As a man thinks so is he….. Don’t put your trust in feelings but let the truth of God guide and stabilize you. Is 55: 6-8 Shows us the relationship between our ways and our thoughts. Filter your thoughts through the word of God. Be inspired as you chew over the Word for yourself.

Leo gives us a precious insight into the heart of God as Father as many of us have never known. We look at earthly fathers and their roles with their children and the Word shows us that this is a weak picture of how much the Lord loves and cares for each of us personally and specifically to our needs and desires. He loves unconditionally, is good, provides, goes ahead of us, sacrifices, corrects, guides and is perfect and true, always.

The spies of the Israelites came back with two differing reports. Like them we can choose to see the enemy defeated or defeating us. Which will we choose?

Francois captivates his audience as he brings alive 1 Kings 16-19 and the life of Elijah, the prophet. Relating current cultural issues, as well as very personal encounters with God, Francois illustrates relevant truth for each of us in today’s society. One moment Elijah is seeing the Lord perform extraordinary miracles and wiping out the enemies of God and then Elijah is running for his life at the words of one woman. There is a profound image for us to learn from here.

These are two fundamental messages about the pillars of our faith. You will be encouraged as Leo reviews the morning’s message about spending time with God: The second point is to grow in the Knowledge of who we are in Christ; having right standing with God. Obedience to God, His word and His delegated oversight is another theme of this message. Leo finishes talking about the Presence of God and worship.

With his usual enthusiastic style Leo spotlights the truth for us for today. His key focus is on spending time with God: reading the Word and let the Word ‘read’ you. Leo encourages us to know the Lord, not just in head knowledge but through the heart. We look together at Matthew 13: 18 at the parable of the sower. Then to James 1:21- lay aside filthiness and take up with humility the Word which can save our souls.

The second point is to grow in the Knowledge of who we are in Christ.

Next he touches on believing you can grow and change.
